Importing HTML Files
You can import multiple XHTML and HTML files into your project. HTML files are automatically converted to XHTML.
How to import HTML files
- Create or open a project.
- Select Project>Import HTML Files. The Import HTML Files Wizard opens

Click Add Files.
- In the dialog that opens, find and select the HTML files you want to import. You can hold the SHIFT key to select a range, or you can hold the CTRL key to select individual items. When you are finished, click Open.

(Optional) You can use the various options on the first page of the wizard as necessary.
- Open File This opens the HTML file that is selected in the list.
- Preview Conversion This opens the HTML to XHTML Conversion dialog, which lets you see how the selected file looks in HTML and how it will look after its conversion to XHTML.
- Create Backups of Original Files This copies the original files and places them in the Backups pane. If necessary, you can restore the original file later.
- Remove This removes the selected document(s) from the list.
- Click Next.
- On the next page of the wizard, select the folder in the Content Explorer where you want to store the imported files.
- When you import HTML files, any supporting resource files (e.g., style sheets, images, multimedia files) can be copied over to the project as well. If you want to include those resource files in the import, click Import Resources and selecting one of the following:
- Keep existing structure The supporting resources files will be copied into folders with the same names and hierarchy as those used in the source.
- To project resources folder The supporting files will be placed in the Resources folder in your Flare project.
- To folder The supporting files will be placed into whatever folder in your project that you specify.
- Click Finish.
- After the files are imported, click Close in the Converting dialog.
