If you are building either Microsoft Word or Adobe FrameMaker targets, you can send the output to Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF). When you use this feature, Flare generates both the native Word or FrameMaker documents, in addition to a PDF file.
Note: You can also create PDF output directly, without going through Word or FrameMaker. See About PDF Output.
In order to send output to PDF via Microsoft Word, you need to have the following setup:

Note: With Word 2007 and this add-in from Microsoft, there is no need to have the Adobe Distiller installed.
How to specify PDF output via Microsoft Word
Use the Output File field on the General tab:

Note: If you use this second check box option, it will overrule any file extension specified for the output file name on the General tab.
